Financial support

The ÖIF supports you with your professional recognition and funds costs that
arise in connection with your recognition and assessment as part of two funding
programs:

Promotion of professional recognition

The following costs can be refunded upon formal recognition:

• Costs for issuing notifications of recognition (informs decision about comparison with Austrian training and may prescribe examinations that are necessary for recognition)

• Administrative fees

• Translation costs (documents and certificates required for recognition)

As well as the assessment:

• Translation costs (documents and certificates required for the assessment)

• Costs for issuing assessment reports

• PThe fees for a language test in accordance with the regulations of the Austrian Chamber of Physicians, the Austrian Chamber of Dentists and the Austrian Chamber of Pharmacist.

Reimbursement of tuition fees for credential assessment in health professions

Are you in the nostrification process for the recognition of a foreign degree in the
field of health at an Austrian university or an Austrian university of applied
science and are you paying a semester tuition fee?

You can apply for financial support from the ÖIF.

The following costs can be refunded:

• Reimbursement of tuition fees at an Austrian university or Austrian university of applied sciences
• The tuition fees actually incurred and paid in the current semester will be refunded

Who can receive the funding?

Persons with a valid nostrification certificate for the recognition of a foreign degree for the following professions in the field of health:

• Doctor (human medicine)
• Diploma. health and nursing assistant
• Occupational therapist
• Speech therapist
• Biomedical analyst
• Radiology technologist
• Orthoptist
• Physiotherapist
• Dietitian​
• midwife
